From the collector’s notes of a 1963 Bubble Cut Barbie:
“Some of hair color variations, especially “White Ginger” and “Sable Brown” are rarer.  Some have greasy faces.”
1963 was the first year Barbie got bendable legs. 
Here’s a list of all the 1963 outfits for Barbie and her newly created (best friend) Midge.
