Hi, Footnote friends!

Just felt the need to address the well dressed audience who shares an enthusiam for mid-century culture and smoking indoors. I’m Natasha Vargas-Cooper and I run this blog for kicks. You can read about the idea/challenge of Footnotes in a neat interview I did here.  I write a long form Mad Men Footnotes column at the must-bookmark site The Awl. Joining me in the steno pool is Natasha Simons. And a couple other fabulous contributers.

A Twitter page was created tonight because that seems like the proper beginning (and end) to all things viral. My first follower is, of course, my father. We have neat stuff coming up about the posters on Don’s walls, Patio, salt and the general diminution of the mid sixties. Joyless self indulgence and all.
